BioShock: Seriously Addicting!
Okay, I've spent the last week or more playing BioShock. Killer game (pun intended) with great graphics and even the occasional moral/ethical choice to be made. Not too much of that though, plenty of bad guys and gals to kill with a whole spectrum of weapons and biological enhancements.
I've only had one glitch with it so far and I've been through it twice. On my third time through, the mission status didn't update when I had already accomplished it, so I was stuck perpetually trying to finish a completed mission. That sucked. But that has happened only once. I play it, trying out variations and upping the skill level, so I end up getting killed a lot. I recommend it highly. I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts or comments on the game. |

RE: BioShock: Seriously Addicting!
Seems like a cool game! Do you know what game that reminds me of? Hexen! It has the same look to it. I would love to play Bioshock, I think that with processor, ram enhancements, and graphics engines making progress that a much more visually appealing genre of Hexen games are possible. Do you agree?

RE: BioShock: Seriously Addicting!
I haven't played Hexen, but it does look like it has some similarity, particularly in terms of "missions" with the main character going on various trips that end up advancing the story line. I see that Hexen has been ported to the DS by some players. Too bad there isn't a stable commercial release, I have the DS Lite and would give it a whirl there. And others have ported it to PSP which I don't have.
Hexen came out in 1995 or so and was pretty popular I hear with at least three games in the series. BioShock included a trailer for BioShock2 in the package, so they already have their eye on the future. |
